I am in such high spirits because it is red packet time for me! Happy Chinese new year to all Chinese students and to those reading my blog! As almost all Chinese students know, we have this tradition of having a Reunion dinner on New year's eve. It was not flushing down the food right towards oblivion into our mouths that made this Reunion dinner interesting, it was all chatting between us that allowed us to wipe out the table in an instant. We did not matter of the time we had eaten for, or did we notice the time we had eaten for. We just talked our hearts out not caring of the muscles around our mouths trying to shut us up. The muscles tried with all their might to stop the blabbering, jealous of happiness saturated through our bodies.
Frozen by the power of time it has left me behind in the past, leaving me behind to remember the moments of my Reunion dinner...

Eating time

That was delicious!

Prawns?

Alright, another shark killed!

Abalone!

Well, I tried to show off my artistic talents, however
it turned out hideous!

Spicy fish!

Crab meat!

Family!

glutinous rice! Honey upon the darkness!

Art piece!

Here goes the poor guy being swept right into the dark
corners of the world!

Fruits!

Randomness!

The Singapore Flyer!

The Countdown

Finally, the past is gone and I am freed from this curse between the slit of time and space. Now I shall be looking forward to the days ahead wishing that I would be someone that can offer Mother Earth truly unique of my own! Shedding new light upon the world and free Earth from the curse of the death of the passion of her own people. "Resurrecting" the lost passion of us for Mother Earth and knowing how to appreciate her beauty. I wish all of you a happy Chinese New year!

How to overcome recession when you're only a teenager with little power?
School has constantly notified and updated us of the terrible recession affecting our lives as well as our parents. During such desperate times, we need to resort to desperate measures that even require us, teenagers to lend a helping hand. So, instead of lying around and leaving only your parents to panic about their money get up and listen closely to our advice that will enable you to help your school and parents. Since we're teenagers, Shalom and I have already tried to keep this a
little light!

Advice on saving money! (For parents)

When it comes to helping your parents, it concerns
not emptying their wallets but spending appropriately, using electrical and water-related appliances much less from now on. Some of them may be jobless right now and are unable to find a suitable job, or maybe have even wasted all their hard-earned money in their deteriorating shares. Hence, since they have pampered us from young so now we should repay some of that kindness by heeding the useful advice we have below. Hopefully after reading these tips you can learn to be thriftier and contribute more to your family's bills decreasing and their bank accounts increasing.

1. Spend on what you need like food instead of what you want like video games I know you guys love them but just for this period of time!

2. Don't buy food from outside too much; buy from your school canteen more often because the food's cheap!

3. Keep the high cost of electrical bills at bay by not playing your Playstation 3/ Portable or switching on your air-conditioning just for the sake of leisure.

4. Save up and use your own pocket money to buy items you really like instead of digging deep in your parents' wallet for extra cash.

5. If you don't want your water supply to
run out one day, we suggest you take method to save water by turning on taps to a slower blast and using half-flush for toilets. This in turn might keep your water bills lower.

6. Please take a shower when you come home after school, this will prevent you from getting awful skin diseases or pimples, which I guess everyone, hates them because it makes you look ugly! This in turn will help your parents save time and money to get you to see a skin doctor due to the doctor's bill.

7. Please don't go to far off in idolizing a celebrity like into giving presents to them because some people do and most probably they will give it to someone else! After you finished using your pocket money, just by giving presents to him/her, you will have to go after your parents' wallets for more money again.

8. Remember, money is an important part of our living; otherwise we wouldn't have bread on the table. So, please take these tips to heart and do something for your parents?

Well, we guess that you might be waiting
agonisingly for the end of this extremely long blog post. It sounds like a nagging essay, doesn't it? However, please stay glued to your seat, we have one more part in store.

Now, its time to help our schools in this economic uncertainty!

1. Hey, I know some of you guys love complaining on your canteen food like how expensive it is and how bad the food is! However, the food in our canteens are cheaper compared to the ones outside, as for the food, we should forsake some of our "high taste" for food!

2. Stop all your vandalism on your desks or chairs because the school will have to change it every now and then.

3. If the school has to change schools and chairs, lesser funds will be there to build cool facilities or even upgrade our school computers! That could be bad.

4. Hey guys don't start on a rampage and destroying anything just for your own leisure, others would like to have more upgrades to their school!

Ready for more… Just joking! As we promised, there is no more other to our blog post, but going to have to start doing the tips now or we'll come back with more!

The gap made by space, sucking life from the moving chunk of metal falling prey to time as its life fades off... I had the experience of being towed on a tow truck all the way past the Changi Flyover, it was somewhat terrifying, not the experienced of being towed, it was the fear of being scolded by our disciplinary master! It was like any other day at first, however it turned out to be a total disaster after that!

As any other day, I boarded my school bus, found a seat and slept like a log. Time somehow sped up while i was sleeping, eternity seemed to have lost its meaning, it was like hardly almost a second when the bus stopped in the middle of the road! The bus driver tried to start it up however no matter how he tried that chunk of metal just would not budge! Right before my eyes cars were driving around us, spewing vulgarities at our bus. Well, I did not know until now that cars could talk! It was then when i realised that the movies were true, it was like a drama before me, cars speed past putting us all at risk, we were practically causing a traffic jam! Oh dear, out of the blue we spotted a car started speeding towards us at full speed! It was the climax when... The chunk of metal crawled out of its position saving us from death or saving itself from the junkyard. It's "legs" started move desperately and it was pathetic moving like about the speed of a snail? Well, actually it was! Suddenly, it transformed from a snail to a "real racing car" speeding forward at full speed. However, this was not the end of this Hellenic horror movie yet! It stopped again at the slope at the Changi Flyover. The eternal curse of unluckiness has yet to be lifted off from our bus. This time the bus had stopped, stopped its own flow of time, stopped its own flow of life and its time was over. Having life drained out of it, this chunk of metal became a pest to its "host", the road. We left one lane for the rest of the vehicles to pass. The bus driver then called the traffic police and this caused a commotion in the bus. Those foolish Secondary one's just have never seen a traffic police before have they? They were left "astounded" bythe beauty of this "elegant" police man who walked in limps, they started taking pictures, making the star of the day. Time stopped. I could feel every molecule inside my body vibrating vigorously as though trying to let out something, something like a scream to say " stop it!". It was then when the tow truck came, both the bus driver and the traffic police discussed something with the tow truck driver and they decided to tow this dead and lifeless chunk of metal over the slope and probably to try if we could "resuscitate" this worn-out bus, which wanted to give up on its precious life. There was this Secondary 3 guy who asked the Secondary 1's to calm down mocking their childish behaviour. Like being towed by another piece of metal was such an "amazing" thing! When we got off the slope the bus driver tried as hard as he could to "resurrect" his dead "companion" however to no avail. It was then when a good Samaritan offered a ride on his bus to our school and so he did!

I hereby thank that uncle and the we were saved from our disciplinary master!

I got to go sleep now, good night!

Hi guys! Did I not tell you about my "production" coming out? Well, the wait is over! Enjoy the power of language...

Diary entry 01,

Today was the worst day in my life! Or not, since my life has been cursed with unluckiness!
The horror started when I got onto the lift on my way to school, it was then when an invader suddenly stepped into the lift, making the whole lift vibrate with fear! I tried to save my territory however that mutant invader just would not budge! I pushed "it" with all my might however to no avail! I was like in a horror movie being squashed by a huge blob trying to swallow me whole! It resisted me with his blubber, I had to save myself. I squeezed through a small gap that the invader had not taken over and darted out of the lift! I was free at last, but not yet out of this horror movie! I was almost late for school, that foolish watch of mine could not resist the movement of time and fell right for its trap leading me into utmost danger of having being scolded by that tape-recorder disciplinary master! He always says the same things, "see me after school today". Now I could feel the air strangling me I could not care less, "risked" my life of having being suffocated to death and dashed down the staircase and made my way for the bus-stop. Then when I was almost reaching the bus-stop, the horror came back! This time the bus I was supposed to take drove off without waiting for me! It was without doubt that the bus driver wanted revenge on me for having invading his territory everyday! I then had to wait for another bus, it was like eternity having to wait for another bus! The next bus I was looking forward expectantly was equivalent to waiting for a snail moving from one end of the universe to the other! I had to wait for three minutes, now it was affirmative that the "tape-recorder" would be awaiting excitedly for latecomers to be "annihilated" by him!
When I reached my school, the disciplinary master was there. I had no other choice but to resign to fate, the movement of time led me closer to my "death", my legs could not help but to start running for it. I ran past him, feeling proud of myself going against the authorities. Sprinted for the finish line and entered the classroom putting both of my hands up, feeling triumphant.
Nevertheless, the day was cursed by unluckiness. The invader, the bus and the "tape recorder".

A day without excitement would be weird, because my day never seems to break away with excitement. Yesterday I stayed back with Kenneth, Khairul, Ganesh and Qi Xun. It was pretty mad that afternoon with all the locking ups we did like in the previous post just that this time its with "strings" attached. Kenneth came up with this fabulous idea to make the game more interesting. No "barricades" were allowed this time and the people locked outside could use strings to open the doors. The first to go were Kenneth and Khairul, and they "constructed" an installation made of strings just to open a door! While in the meantime Ganesh went out to spy on their "construction" while i guarded the doors. It was really foolish because it took forever for them to finish their very own little project. Qi Xun then started banging the door and then a tragedy happened!

It was then, when Kenneth knocked his head against the door! He started shrieking and started sobbing, well actually i wished that he would stop his waterworks then. That caused me a great headache that was beyond my power to control it! Well that last sentence was a little bit exaggerated. Then we had to stop our game. We then had to "calm the beast", it was tedious and difficult! The "beast" was out of control! Desperate times for desperate measures, Qi Xun had to say sorry to the beast! We had nothing against him, just our constant flow of "loving" words that calmed him down. We made friends with him as soon as we could communicate. We were good friends again!
How about my day today? We learnt all about different voices that we should use in blogs from restraint, heroism/stoicism to gush. Miss Fox, my English teacher, thought that, my voice had a little stoicism in it and we had to do a diary on a different voice we normally use. So I am now doing on gush! So probably I should start blowing things out of proportions already? Await for the next greatest novel of all " A bad day" from Marcus! (Please do not pin too much hope into my next "novel")

My first ever post. By the way, since this is for an English school project, I will keep this a little "conservative". Since this is my first time creating a blog, please feel free to give constructive comments on how to improve it, thank you.

Today was normal, like any other day. Except for the part when some of us stayed back for the class decoration. It was like so fun towards the end of it. Well, actually Mel, Kenneth, Khairul, Ganesh and I stayed the latest, the rest of them went back a little earlier than us. Let me get back to what I was saying, towards the end of the decorations we were playing "lock your classmates out"? I have no other name for that. Well first it was Ganesh, we all voted for him to clean up after the decorations were almost done. However he, obviously, did not want to and we were like so "encouraging" him but he still protested then Mel warned us that he may just run away and he did. Ganesh sprinted out of the classroom then Mel, Khairul and I tried to chase him but he "disappeared"? Actually, we had already known he was hiding somewhere but just to spice this "game" up a little, we locked him out. Probably he heard the door slammed, he dashed right to the classroom but was too late. Kenneth was the only hard worker around until now. He stopped his "constructions" and helped me and Khairul with the doors against that mutant invader. Mel was alone guarding the other door entrance to our classroom, with a powerful weapon: The Broom! We knew that he would be safe with that weapon and then Ganesh started attacking as he frantically tried to pull open the doors but he could'nt get through our superior defences. Then Mel, out of the blue, started like singing in his "pop-star" voice then Kenneth took out Khairul's water bottle and started squirting water around the class then to Ganesh, Kenneth was practically practising archery in an "innovative" way by trying to hit a moving target while having lots of fun. Mel should not have let his guard down and then Ganesh managed to pull the door open. Mel was like practically screaming while attacking Ganesh with his weapon. Kenneth leaped in to help but was too late, Ganesh got into the classroom! Oh dear! However, at least Kenneth hit his target by squirting some water onto his hair!

Actually, there were a few more "battles" but it will take too long so let's just get over it. Well, except for this, the rest of the day was study, study and study. No hard feelings here for those we have locked out( actually all five of us got it).
It's almost 12am and I'm going to bed.
Good night!
